About Us

We have a very active youth group and a wonderful group of members. We are very inviting and we would love to see you attend with us. We have Sunday school for kids and adults every Sunday morning at 10 am to 11 am. Our Sunday morning worship service starts at 11 am and we sing a few songs and study the bible with our minister Ed Benesh. Then we also have Sunday evening services that begin at 6: pm. We also have Wednesday night Bible studies that starts at 7 pm and ends around 8 pm. Hope to see you there!
We invite you to come grow with us.

Things We Support

  • Mexico Mission Trips
  • Mount Dora Children’s Home
  • Weeki Wachee Christian Camp, Weeki Wachee, FL
  • In Search of the Lords Way, TV Program

First, there is only one God who sent his Son to redeem man by the power of the Holy Spirit.

This one God, manifest in the three persons of the Godhead is the one and only maker of all things (Genesis 1:1ff; John 14:1-6; John 1).
Image

Second, the Bible and every reputable translation of it (ESV, ASV 1901, KJV, NKJV, etc.) is the one and only word of God once delivered for all men, whether they believe it, live by it or not.

Every word was “breathed-out” or inspired by God and is without error or contradiction. (2 Timothy 3:16). It is not corrupted, needs no other testament and is the only book profitable for instruction in righteousness, correcting spiritual error and rebuking the flaws and choices of man.
Image

Third, all men sin and fall short of God’s righteous expectations given in His word (Romans 3:23).

We may only be restored to a right relationship with God through His Son, Jesus Christ, who took on the form of man in the flesh, ministered to men and then gave his life as a sacrifice for men around 30 A.D. He is the “grace” that “appeared before all men” teaching us what it means to have that relationship restored and how to live righteously (Titus 2:11-14). This includes studying and understanding God’s word (Romans 10:17); having a faith in it (Hebrews 11:6; Romans 10:17); repenting of our sins (Luke 13:3); confessing Christ, meaning we declare we will live as He lived (Romans 10:9-10); and we are baptized, re-enacting the death burial and resurrection of Christ so we may walk in newness of life (Romans 6:1-5) and be saved (1 Peter 3:21). When we obey these the Lord adds us to the church (Acts 2:47) and our sins are taken away (Acts 2:38). Salvation is never just a prayer to invite God into your life. It is a life fully given because that is what Christ gave.
Image

Fourth, a man can so sin as to fall from the grace of God after he has become a Christian.

Thus, we must continue to “walk in the light, as he is in the light” (1 John 1:7) so that we can continue to be cleansed from sin, lest we fall away (Hebrews 5:11-6:6). We must live the word of God, daily picking up our cross (Matthew 7:24-25). We must move on to maturity in our faith (Hebrews 5:11-13). None can remain a spiritual infant and please God.
Image

Fifth, our worship is based on New Testament scripture alone, including expedients like sound systems and song books that fulfill biblical commands.

Our worship, following the examples, indirect inferences and commands of the Bible and early church, includes:

• Preaching a message from the word of God (Acts 20:7)
• Prayers of supplication, praise and thanksgiving (Acts 20:36)
• The Lords supper taken every first day of the week because every week has a first day (Acts 20:7; 1 Corinthians 11:23-29).
• An offering or collection (I Corinthians 16:2).
• Singing songs of praise one to another without instrumentation (Colossians 3:16; Ephesians 5:19).

Image

Sixth, we love all of our human family and desire that each and every accountable man and woman attain the salvation God offered them.

This, however, means we must see God’s distinctions between saved and unsaved, knowing and unknowing, sinner and saint. These distinctions are His alone, but we are called to recognize them and act accordingly (1 Thessalonians 5:21-22). Out of love for God and our fellow human beings we cannot go along with the cultural contexts that seek to normalize perverse behaviors of various forms and religious fallacies that are condemned in scripture or conflict with it (1 Corinthians 6:9-10; 2 Peter 2), including:

• Sexual perversions like homosexuality, adultery, fornication, and transgenderism.
• The worship of false gods and practice of man-made religion
• Abuses of all types including substance, spousal, and child abuse, including human trafficking
• The worship of money, stuff and things by greed, avarice and pride
• Threats to the sanctity of human life, including the unborn, elder abuse and assisted suicide.

Image

Seventh, We believe we are currently living in the “last days” before the Lord will return.

When he does it will not be secret or hidden, but all men will know, everyone will bow and we will all stand in judgment for how we lived our lives (2 Corinthians 5:10; Romans 14:10-12; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18). There will be no second chances for the wicked, no purgatory, from which we can escape and no chance to change our ways. We will eternally go to the Glory of our Lord or the place reserved for Satan and his angels (Matthew 25:41-46). All other schemes of the end of time, to include raptures, tribulations and so on, are not found in the Bible.
Image

Eighth, the church is the one and only body of Christ (1 Corinthians 12; Colossians 1:18; Ephesians 5:15-23).

It has many scriptural names - Church of God, church of the firstborn, The Way, church of Christ, etc. - but only one head, as Christ has only one body. There is no earthly head of the church, but it is lead by servants called ministers, deacons and elders (Titus 1; 1 Timothy 3).
Image

Ninth, we are not a political entity, but we cannot be silent when our appointed politicians violate heavenly law.

When the government (any government) goes against the word of God then we, like the early disciples, “ought to obey God rather than men” (Acts 5:29). Like all other citizens, Christians must put their godly values in the ballot box.
Image

Tenth, the mission of the church is to seek and save that which is lost.

Jesus fed people, healed people and loved them more than they loved themselves, but he also rebuked people, corrected their wrong thinking and then showed them the truth. It may be hard to do, but like Christ we must take the message to the world (Matthew 28:18-20). Jesus alone saves. He loves you and wants you to come home.

We would love to have a chance to talk about any one of these beliefs with you or discuss other questions you may have about the Bible, the church in Pinellas Park or our leadership. Please feel free to reach out to us by phone or email.
